Sukie Clapp

August 2011

Sukie Clapp and his friend rode through Western Thailand for 2 weeks. "The off-road route from Kanchanaburi to Sangklaburi is doable. It took us about 3 hours on the route and then another 1/2 hour to reach Sangklaburi. We were like little boys looking for a new toy (route) to play with. Thank god we were thinking straight and knew when to turn back, because things can get treacherous fast. The line between brave and stupid is very thin.”

Giovanni Ruggiero

July 2011

Giovanni made a trip through Italy, where his SAND jacket and trousers endured temperatures from 40°C in southern Italy to 0°C on the Stelvio pass. This picture was taken in the Dolomites in Italy.

James Yong

October 2010

In 2010 a group of BMW riders from Singapore rode their bikes through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Tibet, Nepal, and India. This picture was taken in Tibet, at the Mount Everest Base Camp.   James tells us: "From the summer heat of 35 ?C to extreme cold as low as -6?C, the REV'IT! Cayenne Pro proved to be the best choice for comfort and protection."

Henry von Wartenberg

May 2010

In honor of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth, Argentinian motorcycle journalist Henry von Wartenberg decided to follow in Darwin´s footsteps. The journey of over 14,600 kilometers took him 64 days.   Here you see him riding in Mendoza, Argentina to climb to Portillo Pass (elevation: 4700 meters). Read all about his trip here.

Marco Hupkes

December 2010

Marco Hupkes spends much of his free time in Morocco, for trips off road (and sometimes on) with friends. His Cayenne Pro jacket and Dakar trousers have survived many trips to the Sahara already. They are great for the extreme temperature changes and different kind of tracks. "By day, you are plowing through heavy sand or boulders in 35 ?C heat. By sundown it is freezing, and you are riding at 100 km/h to a village to find shelter for the night."   This picture was taken between Nkob and Zagora, near Tafetchna. For more of Marco's adventures in Morocco, visit his website.

Mr.SIAM SRIRONGMUANG

March 2011

The world changes every day, but some places stay the same forever. Chiang Khan, Loei – Thailand is a very beautiful place, where everybody smiles and is very friendly. Good food, very cheap guesthouses, caves, waterfall, hidden monasteries and the Mekong river drifting by slowly.   The Mekong is the natural border between Laos and Thailand. During the hot and dry season, the Mekong level can be very low. In some locations, it is even possible to cross the river and go from Chiang Khan to Laos by walking on sand islets.   Now I know, why many people LOVE Chiang Khan.

PEGGY TUINSTRA

DECEMBER 2010

I fulfilled my lifelong dream to explore Australia, seeing the beautiful sights and exotic animals, and experiencing the country from the best possible perspective: astride a Yamaha XT660Z.

Guido Slaats & Peter Kuypers

June 2010

Guido Slaats and Peter Kuypers from Holland participated in the – extremely wet - 4th Eastern European Rally, each on his Quad KTM 525XC. The Rally was a total of 2.500 km in eight days, from Poland to Romania and back, navigating a combination of off-road tracks and local roads, following a road book. This is what Guido looked like after being pulled out of a muddy track by Peter. Watch a clip from the Rally here.

Jan Borremans & Gino Cokaerts

June 2010

After a long and severe winter, the Baralacha la mountain pass – in the region Ladakh, in the north of India – was closed. This, however, did not stop two adventurous Belgians, Gino Cokaerts and Jan Borremans, from riding over it. On top of the pass, they rode through melted ice that came to just under their saddles, until their bikes gave out. Fortunately a nearby bulldozer, working its way through a wall of snow five meters high, came along and pulled them out.

Gregor Halenda

Gregor lives in New York and loves Moab desert in Utah. He tries to ride there every chance he gets. When he rolled into Moab on a day in November 2008, he rode one of the many scenic and challenging off-road trails that abound in this red sandstone paradise.

Gianfranco Elementi

JANUARY 2009

Replacing the regular wheels of your scooter with a SKS kit  (www.slidescooters.com) can turn your scooter into a motorized sled. Slidescooters are a unique and economical way to have an incredibly fun time, as you can see from this picture of Gianfranco in Carpegna, Italy.

Fabrizio Ficorilli

Every year Daniela and Fabrizio try to take a long trip together. In 2009 they visited the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Here you see them on the road to Jebel Shams, Sultanate of Oman, almost at their final destination.
